Animal husbandry is the branch of agriculture concerned with animals that are raised for meat, fibre, milk, or other products. It includes day-to-day care, selective breeding and the raising of livestock. Animal husbandry is basically the rearing, breeding and keeping of farm animals for producing food and other products for human beings. Thus animal husbandry is a very vast and important discipline of agriculture and it can never be neglected.
