This book is prepared as a textbook of the subject "Fruit and Plantation Crops Production" of CTEVT's Diploma curriculum. Information given in this book are largely based on personal observations, experiences and class notes of the author along with pertinent, yet secondary information obtained from various literature and web sites collected on the subject during over four decades of his teaching and research career. There are 11 units in this book. The first six units deal with basic information and principles of fruit and plantation crops production in Nepal. The Unit 4 to 10 emphasize pre- and post-production techniques, along with storage and marketing considerations. The Unit 11 deals the methods and ways to develop practical skills in twenty different aspects of fruit and plantation crops production as to suit the practical exercises given in the curriculum. The 13th practical exercise related to plant propagation is further split into different techniques of asexual propagation. The book is very useful for students enrolled in horticultural courses offered by different technical campuses/colleges affiliated to AFU, PU, and TU along with CTEVT.
